Terms of Service
The rules for using Purchase Ledger, what you can expect from us, and the limits that keep the service sustainable.
Effective date: August 23, 2026
Version: 1.0
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Copper Pine Digital Holdings LLC (“Copper Pine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the company that provides Purchase Ledger. They govern your access to mypurchaseledger.com, the Purchase Ledger browser extension, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Please read them carefully. By clicking “I agree,” creating an account, or using the Service after accepting these Terms, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not create or use an account.
1. Who may use Purchase Ledger
You must be at least 18 years old, live in the United States, and be legally able to enter a binding agreement. You may use the Service only for yourself, your household, or a small business you are authorized to represent. If you accept these Terms for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
2. What the Service does
Purchase Ledger helps you organize purchase records, save product prices, review price history, and identify possible ways to spend less. Depending on availability and your choices, data may come from files you import, information you enter, a browser extension you activate, or a retailer connection you authorize.
Purchase Ledger is an information and recordkeeping tool. It is not a bank, payment processor, retailer, credit-reporting agency, financial adviser, accountant, tax adviser, lawyer, broker, or investment adviser. It does not make purchases, move money, or guarantee savings. You remain responsible for checking information before making financial, tax, legal, purchasing, or other important decisions.
3. Your account and security
Provide accurate registration information and keep it current. Keep your password and devices secure, and notify us promptly at support@mypurchaseledger.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
You may sign in with a local password or an available third-party identity provider such as Google or Microsoft. Those providers control their own services and terms. Purchase Ledger does not receive or store your Google or Microsoft password.
You may not transfer, rent, sell, or share your account in a way that compromises its security or another person's privacy.
4. Your data belongs to you
As between you and Copper Pine, you retain ownership of purchase records, product information, notes, files, and other content you provide (“Your Data”). You grant us a limited, nonexclusive license to host, copy, process, and display Your Data only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service, comply with law, and follow your instructions. This license ends when the data is deleted, except for limited backup, security, or legal-retention needs described in the Privacy Policy.
Your private ledger is not made public. Sharing eligible item prices for privacy-protected community trends is a separate setting and is off by default. Turning on future sharing does not automatically share older purchase records. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we use it, how sharing works, and your export and deletion choices.
5. Imports, retailer connections, and browser capture
Only provide data that belongs to you or that you are authorized to use. When you ask us to connect to a retailer or retrieve information, you authorize Copper Pine and its service providers to access the account and information you select solely to provide that feature. We prefer approved, read-only retailer connections when they are available and do not ask for or store retailer passwords.
The browser extension works only when you activate it and may inspect or highlight relevant information on the active page to help you confirm what will be captured. Retailer pages, receipts, and order histories vary and may be incomplete, image-based, delayed, or changed without notice. You are responsible for reviewing captured information before relying on it.
Retailers and other third parties are independent from Copper Pine unless we expressly say otherwise. Their names and marks belong to them, and your use of their services remains subject to their terms. You may not use Purchase Ledger to bypass access controls or violate another service's rules.
6. Price information and recommendations
Prices, product matches, package comparisons, dates, availability, taxes, fees, promotions, memberships, shipping costs, and store locations can change or be reported incorrectly. Comparisons are estimates based on available information and are not guarantees or offers from a retailer. Confirm the product, package size, final price, and purchase conditions with the retailer before acting.
Community price trends, when offered, use privacy safeguards and minimum participation thresholds. We may suppress or omit results when there is not enough data to provide a useful and privacy-protective result.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break any law or infringe another person's rights;
- access or submit another person's purchase, account, or identity information without authorization;
- bypass security, access controls, rate limits, or privacy safeguards;
- probe, attack, disrupt, overload, or introduce malicious code into the Service;
- use bots, scraping, or automated access except through an interface we expressly provide and authorize;
- reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation, or use the Service for fraud;
- use the Service to make automated purchases or to facilitate abusive, deceptive, or unlawful conduct; or
- resell or commercially exploit the Service or its non-public data without written permission.
8. Fees and future paid features
The Service may offer free, trial, advertising-supported, or paid features. We will disclose the price and material billing terms before charging you. We will not charge you merely because you created a free account. If a paid subscription is introduced, separate checkout terms will explain renewal, cancellation, refunds, taxes, and any trial before you authorize payment.
9. Copper Pine property and feedback
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and original content, is owned by Copper Pine or its licensors and is protected by law. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, nontransferable right to use the Service as intended; they do not transfer ownership of the Service to you.
If you voluntarily send feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation. This does not give us ownership of Your Data.
10. Third-party services and links
The Service may link to or interoperate with retailers, identity providers, email services, cloud providers, browser stores, or other third parties. We do not control their services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or conduct. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that party's terms and privacy practices.
11. Service changes and availability
We work to keep Purchase Ledger reliable and secure, but the Service may be interrupted, delayed, changed, or discontinued. We may add, remove, or limit features; fix errors; perform maintenance; or change supported retailers and integrations. When reasonably possible, we will give advance notice of a material discontinuation that affects access to Your Data and provide a reasonable opportunity to export it.
12. Early Access
Purchase Ledger is currently in Early Access. Features may change, contain errors, or become unavailable. Supported retailers, connected services, and import methods may change as the service is tested and improved. Price, product, recall, recommendation, and availability information must be verified before important decisions. Early Access does not reduce the privacy, sharing, export, or deletion controls described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy. We will provide appropriate notice for material changes affecting user information or account access.
13. Suspension, closing your account, and data deletion
You may stop using the Service at any time. Settings provides controls to export your data, delete purchase data without deleting your account, and delete your account. The Privacy Policy explains deletion behavior, including limited backup and legal-retention exceptions.
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms. When appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, disputes, and general terms—will survive.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Copper Pine disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that the Service will always be available, secure, error-free, or accurate, or that it will produce a particular result or savings. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
Nothing in these Terms limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Copper Pine, its licensors, and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or opportunities, arising from or related to the Service, even if advised that such damages are possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of 100 US dollars or the amount you paid Copper Pine for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Copper Pine, its licensors, and its service providers from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your material violation of these Terms, or content you provide that infringes another person's rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from our negligence, willful misconduct, or violation of law.
17. Resolving disputes
Please contact support@mypurchaseledger.com first. We each agree to make a good-faith effort for at least 30 days to resolve a dispute informally before filing a lawsuit, unless urgent injunctive relief is reasonably necessary.
Applicable law governs these Terms, except where federal law or the mandatory law of your home state applies. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court with appropriate jurisdiction, and either party may bring an eligible individual claim in small-claims court.
These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive your right to participate in a class action where that right applies.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. The Terms page will show the effective date and version. For a material change, we will provide reasonable notice and may require you to review and accept the new version before continuing to use account features. Your acceptance record includes the version and date accepted.
19. General terms
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Copper Pine concerning the Service unless separate written terms apply to a feature. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law and continued protection of Your Data.
